This Gothic Leaf Ornament is based on hundreds of examples from English and German Gothic architecture, stone carving, and metal work. It is hand wrought copper and part of my production line. These are photo-etched on substantial copper sheet and then hand wrought. Pronounced hammer marks are made when I hammer them on my anvil and smoother shaping is made when I hammer them onto a wooden stump. Handmade by me in my Aberdeenshire studio. The Gothic Leaf measures 6.5x6.5x2cm (3x3x.5") There is a hole at the exact centre of balance from which to hang the leaf. Gift boxed with its story on the back of the box.
