The mythological Griffin is known as the king of beasts, with eagle head and wings, and the body, tail, and hindquarters of a lion. Renowned for guarding gold and priceless possessions, they are powerful protectors. We could all use some protection. The perfect gift for griffin loves, Harry Potter fans, and those you love most of all, who might like a bit more protection. This one is handwrought copper, made by me in my studio in Aberdeenshire , Scotland. The Griffin comes with its history on the back of the box.
 
This Griffin ornament is hand wrought copper and part of my production line. These are photo-etched on substantial copper sheet and then hand wrought. Wherever pronounced hammer marks are formed when I hammer them on my anvil and smoother shaping is made when I hammer them onto a wooden stump. They measure 7.5x7.5x2cm (3x3x.5") There is a hole at the exact centre of balance from which to hang the Griffin. Gift boxed.
