The Niagara Chandelier is modeled on it's namesake: Niagara Falls, New York and Canada. Close to my grandparents, we visited often as a child, and I am fortunate that I get to visit most years. This asymmetrical cascade of ice-like glass measures 60x90x20cm (24"x35.5"x8"). Individual icicles are all hollow and made from flameworked borosilicate glass. They are exactly like the icicles in my installation Ausklingen (Fade Away), and like them, make beautiful sounds when gently played.
