This Peacock ornament is inspired by the peacocks at The Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. I was a Stonecarver on the West Front there and this ornament is based on one of the peacocks who used to shake his amazing display. The peacocks at St. John seem to manifest the magic and wonder of the Cathedral. Peacocks are a symbol of renewal and immortality. This one is handwrought copper, made by me in my studio in Aberdeenshire , Scotland. The Peacock Ornament comes with its history on the back of the box.

This Peacock ornament is hand wrought copper and part of my production line. These are photo-etched on substantial copper sheet and then hand wrought. Wherever pronounced hammer marks are formed when I hammer them on my anvil and smoother shaping is made when I hammer them onto a wooden stump. They measure 15.5x5x3cm (6x2x1") There is a hole at the exact centre of balance from which to hang the Peacock in the crown on its head. Gift boxed.
